Young Manufacturing Leaders- [YML]

The Young Manufacturing Leaders (YML) initiative aims to create a network of students and young people who will be mobilized as ambassadors of the manufacturing sector. These young people will spread awareness about the sector’s importance and the evolution of manufacturing roles within local communities. The project therefore contributes to the alleviation of job shortages widely felt in the sector. The outcome is to widely inform young people about the skills that will become vital in the newly-digitised manufacturing sector. The project will involve six partners led by Politecnico di Milano. Other partners include Chalmers University, Czech Technical University in Prague, Tecnalia, and TU Braunschweig. The initiative leverages also on the World Manufacturing Forum, a global platform aimed at spreading industrial culture worldwide to ensure economic and sustainable development. The WMF organizes a namesake event and publishes a report to discuss manufacturing challenges and trends.
