Apply as an Expert

EIT Manufacturing is launching an Open Call for external experts to support the evaluation of applications received during  our Calls for Proposals.

The portfolio of proposals to be evaluated covers the thematic areas of Innovation, Business Creation, Education, and Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS).

Independent external experts can perform two different roles:

  • Evaluators are responsible for evaluating proposals submitted in response to a Call for Proposals based on the Call Guidelines.
  • Rapporteurs act at consensus meetings of evaluators’ panels. Rapporteurs are responsible for drafting the Evaluation Summary Report of proposals discussed at a consensus meeting.

What we are looking for:

External evaluators:

  • An advanced university degree attested by a diploma.
  • A prior participation in the evaluation of EU-funded programs is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Manufacturing and at least in one of the thematic areas/topics/segments.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of professional activities.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

External rapporteurs:

  • An advanced university degree attested by a diploma.
  • A prior participation in the evaluation of EU-funded programs.
  • Participation in evaluations as a rapporteur (or similar role) is a plus.
  • Relevant past experience in preparing, organising and facilitating workshops or similar.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of professional activities.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

EIT Manufacturing will select the most relevant profiles for the up-coming call. The selected profiles will be contacted by email after mid of October 2022. This depends on whether there are any proposals to be evaluated requiring your particular expertise. Your profile will be kept in the database for the next calls.

The next deadline to apply as an Expert and become part of our pool of Experts is the 15th of September 2022. 

The experts selected to participate in our Call For Proposals 2023, will have the first briefing session in the beginning of November 2022, followed by the evaluation of proposals over two weeks. The final consensus meeting will take place in the first half of December 2022.
