EIT Manufacturing has three types of partner categories:
Research and Technology Organisation partners
Our industry partners have an extensive footprint covering multiple sectors, including automotive, aerospace, process industry, machinery and equipment, electronics, ICT, medical technologies, and consumer goods. This diversity supports cross-sector innovation and learning, and allows us to cover the entire product lifecycle, from concept and design to manufacturing and maintenance
Our academic partners include universities that are globally recognised for academic and innovation performance. They provide the educational capacity, curricula and top-level academic qualifications required to reach our educational goals. Along with excellent technical competencies, they also have great expertise and experience in novel approaches to manufacturing education.
Our Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) partners contribute broad competencies and specialised expertise in major manufacturing enabling technologies. They bring a high-end innovation eco-system and technological assets – such as innovation labs, test beds, fablabs and maker spaces – to be used in innovation processes. All RTO partners are currently active in European strategic initiatives for manufacturing innovation, and some of them have also played a major role in coordinating the efforts and/or representing the community in relevant initiatives.
