EIT Manufacturing is part of the global dialogue on the future of factory automation
ETFA Industry Forum highlights how startups tackle industrial challenges
The 30th International ETFA Conference will take place in Porto from 9 to 12 September, bringing together the global community to discuss the latest research, challenges and future directions in emerging technologies and factory automation. The event is organised by the IEEE IES Technical Committee on Factory Automation (TCFA), which fosters collaboration between manufacturing experts and academia.
As part of the Industry Forum, EIT Manufacturing will join a session that brings together voices from industry, startups and research for focused discussions. On Tuesday, 9 September, at 13:30, Antoni Pijoan, Managing Director at EIT Manufacturing West, will take part in a 90-minute panel titled Startups Solving Industry’s Challenges.
His intervention will cover the main challenges facing European manufacturing today, including digitalisation, sustainability, workforce shortages and global competition. It will also explore how collaboration, investment and education can help tackle issues such as slow technology adoption and limited entrepreneurship.
The event is especially relevant for professionals in industry, research and startups who want to exchange ideas, learn from practical experiences and explore solutions for factory automation.
