Access2Tech Turin 2025: The augmented factory and its enabling technologies
At the Unione Industriali di Torino (Association of Industrial Enterprises of Turin), in collaboration with Mesap Innovation Cluster, EIT Manufacturing South hosted the regional edition of Access2Tech 2025, under the theme “The Augmented Factory and Its Enabling Technologies” on 8 May 2025.
The event featured three dedicated sessions and offered a wide range of opportunities for industrial corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access cutting-edge solutions showcased by European startups. It created a dynamic platform for exploring innovation, fostering partnerships and enabling industrial transformation through targeted matchmaking.

Corporations gained access to a curated selection of innovative technology providers, enabling them to scout for potential research partnerships, engage in funding projects, initiate testing and proof-of-concept activities, conduct benchmarking, expand their supplier base and map the European startup innovation landscape relevant to manufacturing.
Startups benefited from the opportunity to expand their client base, monitor local and European competitors and explore collaborative opportunities in key areas such as R&D projects, testing environments and proof-of-concept stages.
What is Access2Tech Europe?
Access2Tech Europe is a programme of EIT Manufacturing’s Business Creation team, aimed at connecting high-performing startups and scaleups with manufacturing corporations across Europe.
Through a series of focused events in key industrial hubs, selected startups are given the opportunity to directly engage with corporates seeking advanced technologies to optimise production, enhance product quality and address sustainability goals. The programme supports industrial transformation by enabling strategic partnerships, facilitating the adoption of technology and unlocking tailored investment opportunities.
By highlighting regional best practices and encouraging collaboration, Access2Tech Europe plays a key role in shaping the future of competitive and sustainable manufacturing across the continent.

- AZITEK develops a low-cost RFID technology intended to provide indoor and outdoor geolocation solutions.
- DessIA Technologies is an AI-powered engineering software company transforming design processes.
- FIZIX Information Technologies provides intelligent IoT solutions that monitor the health of machines in real time and increase operational efficiency
- GeDy TrAss is an innovative startup which develops software to speed up and improve the design of mechanical gear transmissions
- HydraPred uses AI for predictive maintenance management and production process optimisation – to ensure performance and reduce costs.
- Neurality develops an AI solution for Automatic Inspection, detecting non-conformities and alerting your integrated system to apply any corrective measures.
- ONIQ develops an intelligent digital twin system powered by AI to reveal hidden inefficiencies and unlock potential for improvement.

Fostering synergies
MESAP Innovation Cluster is a network partners of EIT Manufacturing South since October 2021. This strategic alliance aims to foster and support advanced manufacturing technologies and activities across Europe. Based in Piedmont, located in northwestern Italy, is one of the most industrialised and dynamic regions, with a strong industrial DNA that includes automotive, aerospace and smart manufacturing.
Since then, the collaboration has strengthened, including the participation of EIT Manufacturing South in MESAP’s conferences, the co-organisation of webinars dedicated to calls, the involvement of MESAP companies in the AGORA community platform, as well as the co-organisation of the first Access2Tech in 2022, also in Turin.
What’s next
Following the event, feedback and suggestions were collected from participants. Follow-up meetings are scheduled to track the progress of connections formed through the initiative. A second follow-up is planned for after the summer to assess whether any of these connections are evolving into business opportunities or collaborations.
