RIS Inclusiveness
About the project
EIT Manufacturing RIS Inclusiveness programme is an activity that attract, select and support entities coming from EIT RIS countries towards developing innovative solutions to make the work in the manufacturing industry more inclusive for individuals with disabilities. The activity will provide financial support to the selected applicants. In addition, the selected applicants will receive support services provided by the EIT Manufacturing RIS team and aimed at supporting the implementation of their project.
Purpose of the project
The purpose of the EIT Manufacturing RIS Inclusiveness programme is to make the manufacturing industry in Europe more inclusive for people with disabilities.
Societal impact
EIT Manufacturing RIS Inclusiveness programme supports solutions that will contribute to:
- Create safer, more accessible, and inclusive work environment that increases employees’ well-being.
- Increase well-being at the manufacturing workplace while supporting the retention of workers with disabilities in their jobs.
- Improve interaction capability of people with disabilities and facilitate social innovation

We know that a low percentage of people with disabilities is employed at EU level, and even less in RIS countries. We are proud that with the RIS Inclusiveness programme we put the KICs resources to improve the environment in the manufacturing industry to increase these numbers, by also addressing one of our flagship ‘Human-machine co-working for socially sustainable manufacturing’. We look forward to see how the innovations that will be developed and brought to the market!
