We are looking for Design and Business Mentors to inspire NEB start-ups!
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (EIT KICs) are calling for Mentors for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative.
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) forms part of the European Union´s sustainability-driven Recovery Plan called NextGenerationEU. The initiative helps to deliver the European Green Deal – a set of policies set out by the European commission to decouple economic growth from resource use, make Europe greener, and more resilient.
As of 2023, a cohort of NEB start-ups, co-creation, and citizen engagement initiatives will be offered one-on-one mentorship and guidance on everything from designing for (social) sustainability to circular business models.
To that end, EIT Manufacturing is launching a Call to select a pool of Design and Business Mentors to support NEB-related Call beneficiaries in their transition towards digital, green, and more resilient practices, while also acting as advocates for the New European Bauhaus. Mentors are to “think Bauhaus”, and encourage their Mentees, (former) participants of NEB Calls under European Horizon, and related programmes, to further integrate the three inseparable New European Bauhaus values of “aesthetics”, “sustainability”, and “inclusion” into their practices.
