EIT Manufacturing supports startups and corporates to foster circular economy in the industry

Startups, corporates, investors, tech enthusiasts and visionaries will gather at Station F in Paris to present breakthrough circular economy solutions for the industry on 8 December. Registrations for the event BoostUp! FRANCE 2023 – Circular Economy are still open.

EIT Manufacturing presents a one-of-a-kind event that combines a startup competition with an appealing framework programme that includes keynote speaker Jean-Marc Boursier (Chairman of the Institut National de l’Économie Circulaire). An expert panel titled “Closing the loop: corporates and startups shaping circular economy” will foster a transformative dialogue featuring industry titans Schneider Electric and Saint-Gobain alongside visionary startups Kheoos and Goodfloow.

On Friday, 8 December three minutes are critical at Station F in Paris. That is the time for each of the startup finalists to convince the jury of their potential to transform the industry through the development of the circular economy. The expert jury has chosen ten French startups to present their solutions. They will benefit from the event’s publicity, and a prize-giving ceremony will recognize the best projects, which will also receive EIT Manufacturing support to expand their operations across Europe.

BoostUp! FRANCE 2023 event is organised by EIT Manufacturing, the largest Innovation Community in industry supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. For this first edition in France, EIT Manufacturing has the privilege of teaming up with impulse Partners to make the organisation’s flagship event happen. Corporates, investors and tech enthusiasts will take part in the event to showcase innovative solutions and approaches for a more circular industry.

Collaboration across different types of organisations is pivotal to putting the circular economy into practice. That is why Caroline Viarouge (CEO at EIT Manufacturing) and Kevin Lenehan (Director of Business Creation at EIT Manufacturing) focus their introductory remarks on collaborative initiatives and cutting-edge solutions. Meanwhile, Jean-Marc Boursier (Chairman of the Insitut National de l’Économie Circulaire) reflects on circular practices that promise not only a change, but a revolution in our approach to sustainability.

The expert panel on Circular Economy features a dynamic exchange between industry titans such as Schneider Electric and Saint-Gobain and visionary startups like Kheoos and Goodfloow. The combination of corporate experience and entrepreneurial ingenuity is likely to produce a more sustainable industrial landscape. Following the award ceremony, a networking lunch enables like-minded professionals to interact and discuss partnership options.
