NAPKIN
About the project
The NAPKIN project will be implemented in CIXI’s innovative state-of-the-art chainless bike factory, which is a model for Industry 4.0. This factory will serve as a testing ground for new technologies like Centiloc with a smart shelving system for production.
Challenges
Internet of things (IoT) solutions are already deployed for supply chain management, but it stops at the shelf where products are closer and worth less. Companies are manually tracking their inventory, resulting in waste and loss of time for the workforce who must search for the parts.
Solutions
Centiloc’s technology is already deployed in some high value industries. With NAPKIN, Centiloc will introduce a more affordable smart shelf directly connected to ODOO, a well-established enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool. The challenge will be to manage costs and connect the solution to the existing tool.
Expected results
The goal of the project is to demonstrate the ability of Centiloc’s smart shelves to improve production through real-time inventory management. The key performance indicators (KPIs) will provide insight into the time gained and the reduction in waste achieved as a result of using the product.
