The second edition of the EIT Manufacturing Summit zoomed in on “The Future of Manufacturing Work”, exploring how jobs in this sector are changing as a result of industry 4.0 technologies and how organisations like EIT Manufacturing can support. Cecilia Warrol, Chair of the EIT Manufacturing Supervisory Board, and Klaus Beetz, CEO of EIT Manufacturing opened this year’s summit after a “very successful but challenging year”. For the second consecutive year, the virtual summit was moderated by Karin Helmstaedt, journalist and anchor at Deutsche Welle and streamed live from Berlin. The virtual event, which summed up the Knowledge & Innovation Community’s second operational year counted 750 registered participants.
