The Sidenor Group is active in the production, processing and trading of steel products, being today the largest Greek steel product manufacturing industry, with a leading position both in Greece and in Southeast Europe.
The business course of the Sidenor Group began in 1962 and today it is a fully vertically integrated business group with 36 subsidiaries and related companies, of which 18 operate abroad. The Group’s production units operate in Greece, Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia.
The expansion in Southeast Europe started in 2001 with the acquisition of Stomana Industry in Bulgaria, in which the Sidenor Group continues to invest with the aim of producing high added value products, increasing its production capacity, improving product quality as well as reducing of production costs.
In 2006, Sidenor Group expands its penetration into the Southeast European market, through the company Dojran Steel in the Republic of North Macedonia, with a factory for the production of long steel products, meeting the needs of the local market and Kosovo. From 2007 to 2011, a wide commercial network is developed in Serbia (through Sidebalk Steel), Albania (through Sideral Steel) and Romania (through Siderom Steel) in order to more fully cover the local markets and the wider region.
The production facilities of the Group are constantly upgraded and expanded through an extensive long-term investment program of over 950 million euros for the period 1998 – 2018.
