Lean Re-Manufacturing – circular manufacturing transition for companies

About the project

In Lean ReManufacturing (LRM), workshops and learning nuggets are developed to help companies in their first steps towards a lean remanufacturing operation.

Purpose of the project

LRM’s purpose is to help companies adopt a sustainable, circular strategy designed to return a product to “as good, or better than, new” condition.

Societal impact

Not all materials can be fully recycled, but remanufacturing materials keeps them in the loop longer, reducing stress in the supply chain.

Main results & insights

Companies appreciate the pilot workshops because it helped them to improve management of accessibility to parts.

Quote from the Activity Leader

It surprised me to see how this workshop was still an eye-opener to many attendees. The advantages of remanufacturing are a pleasant discovery for them.
