Advanced Factories and Advanced Machine Tools

EIT Manufacturing is once again a Strategic Partner of Advanced Factories, the annual summit on industrial innovation. A platform for professionals to discover the latest innovations in Industrial Automation equipment, robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, VR/AR and all the cutting-edge technologies that emerge from the Industry 4.0. This new alliance will allow us to join forces to foster innovation and digital transformation in the metalworking industry.

This year’s edition will coincide with Advanced Machine Tools, the new biennial event that brings the latest innovations in machine tools, machinery deformation, cutting and forming, instruments, components and accessories, and its auxiliary industry.

As strategic partners, we will be participating in four panel discussions showcasing the latest projects supported by EIT Manufacturing:

 

April 19th, 11:15h -12:15h – Víctor Alonso, Head of the Department of Processes and Factory of the Future of CTAG, will talk about SMARTFLEXCELL, a project supported by EIT Manufacturing that resulted in the creation of a full fledged startup. This panel will be held within Advanced Machine Tools

 

Javier GonzalesApril 19th, 13:15h – 14:00h – Javier González, Innovation Manager at EIT Manufacturing West, will participate in the panel “Engineers and Data Scientists: The perfect gear for the economic return of AI (AI Forum)” presenting EIT’s Deep Tech Talent Innitiative.  

 

April 19th, 17:45h – 18:30h – Leire Martinez Beitia, Project Manager at Medical Robotics at Tecnalia, will be part of the panel discussion “Cluster sessions PHARMA: Reformulation of processes from management to research, as a result of AI & DA”. She will give insight about the project INTEX.

 

April 20th, 16:00h – 16:45h – Johan Kildal, Responsible for the area of interaction in Tekniker’s Intelligent Autonomous Systems unit, will participate in the roundtable “Interaction with technology: Social pledge and impact on the environment”, presenting the project CMT4ALL.

EIT Manufacturing and Acció have co-organized an “Access to Tech” event, where startups supported by EIT Manufaturing will have the opportunity to present their solutions to improve processes and products in manufacturing shopfloors to a selected number of renowned industrial corporations. The event will be held on April 20th.
