Focus on SMEs

The Irish Digital Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (IDEAM) Cluster organises a two-day conference on digitalisation of manufacturing.

EIT Manufacturing is honoured to contribute specifically to the morning session of the second day

• with a keynote by Dr Christian Bölling, the Director of the Darmstadt-based EIT Manufacturing hub, on EU funding projects for small and medium-sized companies
• by moderating exciting panel discussions on the path to a climate neutral industry and on remanufacturing

With digitalisation, the conference tackles one of the topics the EU has identified as a key component of the future of manufacturing, and which is, at the same time, often a black box, especially to small and medium-sized companies. It is interconnected to other key issue such as the transition to greener manufacturing, the labour force’s skillset as well as resilience and sustainability of the industry.

The industry cluster IDEAM supports businesses to collaborate, innovate and grow. They help SMEs in manufacturing to master the digital transformation and strive to unlock opportunities for industry with a collaborative approach.

The Digitalisation of Manufacturing conference runs in parallel with the Annual Manufacturing Solutions Ireland Exhibition hosted by the Technological University Of The Shannon (TUS) in conjunction with the GTMA.
