What is a testbed and what are the benefits of collaborating with EIT Manufacturing? Come and see for yourself!

We are excited to announce that one of our testbed projects has been selected by the jury of the IoT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC) to be presented in the featured testbed area of the trade show.

From 10 to 12 May 2022 you can meet us and our project partners from the End-To-End Digitalised Production Testbed “iFishCan”, which is aimed at minimising food loss and food waste as well as the environmental impact of the canning industry.

It approaches small and medium-sized companies and consists of three functionalities including an AI prediction tool, a manufacturing execution system (MES) and a monitoring system. The mobile testbed helps companies to optimise water and energy consumption as well as their decision-making processes.

The Cross-KIC initiative Digitalised Testbeds by EIT Manufacturing, EIT RawMaterials, EIT Food and EIT Digital focuses on fostering the adoption of digital solutions by the European industry to remain competitive. The innovative End-To-End Digitalised Testbeds are covering the whole product life cycle and connect industry partners with start-ups and research institutions. With the support of the EIT Cross-KIC initiative, they can take the final steps of their joint innovations and test them in an environment which mirrors real-life manufacturing sites.
