First in-person Innovation Vision Action Plan Workshop – July 2022 Barcelona

The EIT’s HEI Initiative 2022 Innovation Vision Action Plan (IVAP) Workshop will occur from July 5-6th in Barcelona, Spain at the World Trade Centre. The Workshop is the first in-person event of the Initiative and will bring together project members from Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 as well as EIT HEI Initiative staff with 220+ attendees. The event is structured to be collaborative and interactive with the following objectives:

Orient projects:

  • Orient projects of Cohort 2 to EIT, KICs, and Initiative.
  • Anchor projects to objectives of the Initiative: ensure all projects are aware of Initiative developments and direction
  • Provide projects with essential background, information, and mechanisms to set them up for success

 Network:

  • Exposure for all projects
  • Opportunities to interact organically and through structured activities
  • Forming of potential partnerships

Engage:

  • Engage projects with EIT and KICs
  • Foster sense of HEI Initiative community between cohorts and KICs
  • Create momentum for successful launch and continuation of projects

Who can attend this event?

This is a private event for members of the projects of the EIT’s The HEI Initiative.

Is poster presentation mandatory for all participants?

No, only participants from Cohort 1 projects must present posters of their project. Detailed instructions and templates have already been shared.

What time should I arrive at the Venue on July 5th?

Check in begins at 9:30 am

Can I print posters somewhere in Barcelona?

Yes, it’s possible. Follow this Roll up Essential 85×200 cm – Envío rápido (jumboprinters.com). Make sure you reach out well beforehand so that the timeline is managed.

What is the recommended dimension for posters?

A0, 84.1 x 118.8 cm. If needed it can be up to 91.4cm x 121.9 cm. If you select the option from the local printer with the built-in display, it can be up to 85 X 200 cm.

Do I need to bring anything from my end to the workshop?

Nothing particularly, except cohort 1 participants who must bring the posters for presentation and nothing else. Just bring your best networking game!

Will the event be photographed?

Photographers will cover the entire event. Primarily capturing moments to be used on the HEI Website and communication from this first in-person HEI workshop.

Is there any recommended attire for the event?

Yes, we recommend aligning with business-casual attire, so that we can have flawless photographs of the participants.

Can we get any insight on how the workshop is structured?
