1st CLC Workshop in Bulgaria

After the first visit in Bulgaria in April 2022, another event, specifically workshop, took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. This event, “1^st CLC Workshop in Bulgaria”, continued the fruitful discussion that began two months ago during the 1^st visit. Present to this discussion were the organisers CLC South East, EIT RIS HUB Bulgaria – CLEANTECH and the Bulgarian Business SME Promotion Agency along with representatives from large enterprises, SMEs and Start-ups, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the Ministry of Education.

Apart from introducing CLC South East and the potentials arising from a future collaboration between EIT Manufacturing and local partners and authorities, the workshop aimed at exploring the Bulgarian industrial ecosystem but also this interactive workshop helped at identifying the industrial needs and challenges in the Bulgarian ecosystem. This discussion offered the opportunity to find ways of resolving difficulties and to look for long term cooperations.

The EIT Manufacturing was represented in this workshop by Klaus Beetz, CEO of EIT Manufacturing, Niki Kousi, Managing Director of CLC South East, and Konstantinos Georgoulias, Director of RIS and EU Affairs.
