EIT Manufacturing appoints Caroline Viarouge as new CEO

EIT Manufacturing’s CEO Klaus Beetz will hand over to Caroline Viarouge, a highly experienced, successful and well-regarded leader with a proven track record in accelerating manufacturing competences and capacities in Europe.

The Supervisory Board followed unanimously the suggestion of the recruitment committee to appoint Caroline Viarouge as the next CEO of EIT Manufacturing. Caroline will start on the 2nd of  May 2023 and will replace Klaus Beetz, who is going to retire from the CEO position he has held since 2020.

We are delighted to welcome Caroline Viarouge as the CEO of EIT Manufacturing. The combination of her experience gained in global organisations, academic background, communication skills and her passion for both research and European industry makes Caroline a perfect fit for EIT Manufacturing.

Caroline Viarouge brings a strong leadership and transformational track record. She held various senior management positions in larger industrial groups, such as Nissan and Munters, where she was instrumental in growing and transforming these organisations, and in expanding their manufacturing footprints. Beyond her deep corporate knowledge, Caroline worked in management consulting at BearingPoint, and she continues to support innovative start-ups through X-HEC and angel investing. She holds a Master of Sciences in International Business from the University College Dublin and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris.
