Great interest by the US Students to learn more about leadership of EIT Manufacturing

EIT Manufacturing South East hosted an event on manufacturing leadership at its premises in Athens, Greece on the 4^th January 2024. The first event of 2024 was attended by students from the University of Texas, who had the opportunity to learn about EIT Manufacturing’s mission and accomplishments.

During the event, Filotas Niarchos, Communication Manager for EIT Manufacturing South East, and Aristeidis Katsiorchis, Innovation Manager, presented the EIT Manufacturing’s activities and its vision for european leadership in the manufacturing sector. They highlighted EIT Manufacturing’s role in facilitating collaboration between industry, academia, and research institutions and they showcased some of the concrete results that the organisation has achieved with its partners until today.

The event also featured a Q&A session on the differences between US and EU leadership in manufacturing. The students were invited in the end to answer questions about the topic through an online app. EIT Manufacturing will use the feedback collected from the students to further its understanding of the leadership landscape in the US.

The event on manufacturing leadership was a valuable opportunity to share the organisation’s vision and to connect with the young ecosystem of the United States. More are about to come!
