EIT Manufacturing is delighted to be an official partner of the first edition of the CECIMO Machine Tools Innovation Awards, MTI Awards for short. Christian Bölling, Director EIT Manufacturing Central is looking forward to his participation in the jury.

The MTI Awards are an opportunity for organisations from the machine tool ecosystem to get visibility and recognition for projects or solutions which impact the machine tool industry positively. Applying is easy – filling in five slides about the submitted project with information why it is outstanding, and which impact it has on the industry, society and environment is the basis.

No cost involved!

Submissions are possible until 1 June 2023, the finalists will be announced 16 October 2023 and the awards ceremony will take place during the CECIMO Brussels Forum, formerly called CECIMO Fall Meetings on 6 December 2023. Finalists will benefit from excellent for networking opportunities and knowledge sharing among professionals in their field. Applying is free of charge – so there are only gains to be made!

Christian Bölling has been appointed the jury for the MTI Awards and is looking forward to reviewing and evaluating the applications. “My professional background is in machining, so I am delighted with the opportunity to sit in the jury of the MTI Awards,” he said. “I also welcome CECIMO’s initiative to create the MTI Awards, since the machine tool industry has huge impact on all manufacturing industries. Any improvement in this sector has positive repercussions in a massive number of companies.”

Intensifying collaboration

CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries and related Manufacturing Technologies, has become a network partner of EIT Manufacturing in 2022. Apart from EIT Manufacturing, the European Factories of the Future Research Association, EFFRA and the European Round Table for Industry, ERT are official partners of the MTI Awards.
