Education Marketplace Engineer (Deep Tech Talent Initiative)
About the position
As the Education Marketplace Engineer for the Deep Tech Talent Initiative, will be responsible for the
successful set-up and operations of the IT platform supporting the European Deep Tech Talent Initiative.
The Deep Tech Talent Initiative is a pioneering programme that will skill one million people within deep tech fields over the next three years (https://www.eitdeeptechtalent.eu), developed and implemented through the collaboration of EIT Manufacturing with the other Knowledge Innovation Communities supported by the European Institute for Innovation and Technology.
The Deep Tech Talent Platform will collect all the relevant information concerning the entities
participating to the Pledge and their commitment: Education and Training Providers;
Enterprises/Empolyers; Financiers; Member States and other Institutions. Furthermore the Platform will collect the data to monitor the progress of the initiative with reference to the individuals upskilled
through the initiative. Finally, the Platform will offer additional services such as a Skill Radar, match-making, to provide orientation, guidance and support for the upskilling activities.
Under the guidance of the coordinator of the Initiative, and in collaboration with the key stakehoders,
you will be responsible for analysing the requirements; identifying and selecting the most appropriate
technologies; defining the specifications; making tenders; supervising the suppliers in the development and set-up of the platform functionalities; coordinate, supervise and support the operation of the platform; create and implement a roadmap for the development and integration of new functionalities to address existing and emerging needs.
The role of the Education Platform Engineer combines strong IT competences with managerial and
business skills, with responsibilities covering the development, implementation, and finally operation of the Platform to successfully support of the Deep Tech Talent Initiative in its development.
