The BoostUp! South East 2023 call, open from August 1st to October 16th, addresses early stage-to-mature startups from the 8 countries of the South East region, willing to take European manufacturing to the next level.
EIT Manufacturing, the largest manufacturing-focused Knowledge and Innovation Community within the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, is delighted to announce BoostUp! South East 2023. This is a competition for startups, designed to empower companies from South East Europe in expanding their businesses and tapping into European markets. The application period is open from August 1st to October 16th, and the competition Grand Final is going to take place on November 29th 2023, in Divani Palace Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
BoostUp! has been an integral part of EIT Manufacturing’s initiative to foster business creation in the manufacturing sector throughout Europe since 2020. The first event in South East Europe is being organised by EIT Manufacturing South East, located in Athens, Greece, aligning with EIT Manufacturing’s commitment to innovative ideas, sustainability and environmental responsibility. Submissions are eligible for companies established in Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Türkiye and need to fit one of the following EIT Manufacturing focus areas as well as the following technology domains:
- Simulation & Advanced Engineering Tools
- Virtual/ Augmented Reality based solutions for industrial applications
- Logistics Technologies
- Advanced Additive Manufacturing solutions
- Predictive and Preventive Maintenance
- Industrial Robotics
- Connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) Infrastructure
- Advanced Sensors (Industrial IoT) & Drones, Industrial Cybersecurity
- Data analytics/ Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twins
- Environmental and Social Sustainability
What are the benefits of the call:
- Opportunities for Internationalization: By engaging with EIT Manufacturing’s wide European network, participants can explore new markets and expand their businesses.
- Growth Package: EIT Manufacturing’s Business Creation team will provide dedicated service support of up to four months to the shortlisted finalists.
- Prize: Winners of the competition will receive monetary prizes. The first prize winner will be awarded 7.500€, the second prize winner will receive 5.000€, and the third prize winner will be granted 2.500€.

About the EIT Manufacturing South East
EIT Manufacturing CLC South East is a Greek Private Capital Company, which was founded on April 27, 2022.
