(35:35) “Multifunctional materials and materials that can have properties that might be conflicting like, for example, thermal conductivity and low thermal dimensional change. These multifunctional materials or metamaterials will also play a significant role in the coming years according to my expectation because this will allow us to do many things: on one hand, have systems that change shape, behaviour and performance depending on the conditions in response to the local environment. Usually, they’re inspired by a biological analog but they are designed to perform multiple things with a combination of different functional capabilities.”
